Yes, the gap would be greater and the car would be lower.

If you want to be the same as the 205/45/17, you would go with 205/50/16. If you wanted to go taller than your current setup, you'd go with 205/55/16...but at that point things start looking really retarded.

No, you want to look at radius (diameter/2) because the radius is basically the distance between the hub center and the top edge of the tire. If you want no gap, you want that radius to equal the distance between the hub center and the arch. A shorter/smaller radius will leave you with additional gap.

hahah yup. Makes for some fun "spot the drunk driver" games while you drive around town. Even better when you see them parked outside a bar at night.

That's pretty hideous. Although I like them better than the regular Ohio plates.

That is too funny, I lived in cinci for a year and never saw these plates! But yep I'm back in NY working on long island
