rip mr. miagi. best sensei ever

i did some taekwondo when i was a kid, but i usually dont count that because i do not remember anything from that, aside from your tradtional sidekick, roundhouse, front kick, and the basic punches (which are all taught in kickboxing). i stopped taekwondo at red/black belt (its a single belt with 2 tone red/black) . it was the belt before black belt, and i wouldve gone to black but getting to black belt cost too much and i got bored of taekwondo

jeet kune do sounds really interesting, it was bruce lee's martial art after all. i'd like to try taht sometime at a formal gym. at mt. SAC theres a jeet kune do class but its the same teacher as the kickboxing class, which i took, and he treats his class like boot camp and his exercises are like military drill status lol.

and is kenpo and kickboxing almost the same? i cant help but think kenpo is the workout cardio dvd version of a martial art. ie. not as strict. has anyone ever heard of hopkido?

Yes, Kenpo is pretty much kickboxing. But I think it focuses more on attacking from odd angles and getting out of harms way. Hapkido is like Aikido, but with a mix of Taekwondo kicks incorporated.
