PAID
Ocarina from Smule is ridiculous!! It's only a dollar. You Blow into the mic and use the thing like a real ocarina. You can even change the root and mode. It's even got a live mode that lets you see people playing around the world in a 'google earth' type of view, and give them props if they're good. Chopper is a verrrry fun game in which you control a helicopter by tilting the iPhone around, rescuing civilians and taking out enemies. Highly recommended! They really reduced the price, although I dunno if it was a sale or a permanent change. Anaconda is snake like on the old nokia phones, except more fun, some variation added. I think it's only a dollar, used to be free. FREE NetNewsWire is realllly cool if you use RSS. You can sync to your newsgator account which syncs to NetNewsWire on your desktop. Loopt is cool if you're into Facebook and Twitter Scramboni is a very fun online word-scrambling game where you compete to see who in your group can get the word the fastest. TouchMines is an awesome minesweeper app Trace is a fun one too. You draw a path for a little man to get across to the checkpoint. You control his direction and jumps, trying to avoid the obstacles that reset him to his starting position. (sorry if I repeated anything. I tried not to by reading the whole thread first)

For all you Pandora, Lastfm fans
Slacker - Browse music via genre I LOVE pandora but it seems like Slacker has a more diverse selection and its free.

Agreed. They need to add a little bit more to their selection. Nevertheless its a free app so I cant really complain.

Anyone know of an app that converts Mp3's to ringtones that cant be bought? I really want the pirates of the Caribbean Theme song to heroically play as I receive a phone call, but they don't offer it....

The latest version of Garage Band has an export to iPhone function. This assumes you have a Mac.

Something mini related.
MINI Liquid assets - Shoot the coins into the cars. Nothing great but its free and a decent time killer.

Right-click the song and choose Get Info. Click the Options tab. Check the Start Time and Stop Time boxes, then enter times for each (no more than 30 seconds apart, the maximum length for a ringtone). I used 0:00 and 0:30, respectively, as "Spit It Out" has a perfect ascending lead-in. Click OK, then right-click the song again and choose Create AAC Version. You should immediately see a new 30-second version of the song. Drag that version out of iTunes and into the folder of your choice. Delete the 30-second version from iTunes and change the Start Time/Stop Time back to the original. Open the folder containing the 30-second AAC file you dragged out of iTunes, then change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. Double-click it and it immediately gets added to iTunes' ringtone library. Finally, sync your iPhone. When it's done, you can head into the settings and select your new ringtone.
