I hate that my first post on these forums is asking for something, but if anyone has some lowering springs that would work for an '05 Cooper (non-S), I would be your best friend forever...

Perfectly fair request. That's how I got mine! Now go make a post in the "introductions" area and we won't freak out!

looking for an R50/R53 head unit that works properly, if anyone is doing a head unit swap.

my R50's head unit refuses CDs and i don't yet have enough money to buy the pioneer that i want, nor am i ready to give up MFSW controls. let me know if someone out there has one that they no longer need.

yeah, I thought it was originally meant for those "offering" up parts, not a want add section.

NOTE: This item was taken out of the box just long enough to realize it fits 1st Gen iPhone only! (Which is not written on the package anywhere! *grrr*)

Not that anybody needs it, but I've now got a single OEM rear control arm I'd be happy to send you. The other one, which snapped, I'm keeping to hang in the garage if it ever gets built.

Anyhow, putting the good one up here just in case.

I have an OEM rear sway bar off a 2006 Cooper S you can have just for being so cool Since you're in Rancho it would be a simple matter of meeting up somewhere.

oh and if installed, will there be any noticeable difference in handling? i mean i know the cooper and cooper s aint that much different from each other regarding suspension and handling, but if this cooper s sway bar is bigger than my own coop sway bar then there should be a diff right?

i've read on NAM somewhere that the cooper is 16mm bar.

i just want to make sure it's worth the install (since i heard it was a pain), otherwise i'll just save up for an aftermarket 19mm.

I can't remember if you have the sport suspension plus or not, but if you do, the rear sway bar on your cooper is the same size as the one on the Cooper S. The difference between the Cooper and Cooper S bar is 1mm. 17mm for the R50 and 18mm for the R53.
