Default BATMAN Opening: 14 dead, 50 wounded in shooting at Colorado theater

Gas mask, vest, smoke grenades, shot gun, rifle (ak type) and hand guns....

Quote:
At least 14 people were killed and 50 wounded when a gunman opened fire during an early Friday morning screening of the new Batman movie at an Aurora, Colorado, theater, Police Chief Dan Oates told reporters.
The heavily armed suspect, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, was apprehended by police in a rear parking lot of the theater, Frank Fania, a police spokesman, told CNN. The suspect was not immediately identified, though Fania said he was believed to be in his early 20s.
"He did not resist. He did not put up a fight," Fania said. Police seized a rifle and a handgun from the suspect, and another gun was found in the theater, he said.

^^ Exactly, unfortunately there's no way to rationalize an answer to such irrational behavior. ^^

He was not on any watch list that could have alerted authorities that he was dangerous, NBC reported. He has no military history, NBC added.

Holmes was apprehended by police in the movie theater parking lot; he did not resist arrest. Police found four guns at the theater: two pistols, a rifle and a shotgun. The car he was driving had Tennessee license plates.

A San Diego native, who identified herself as James Holmes' mother, told ABC News that she was unaware of the shooting when she first awoke Friday morning and had not yet been contacted by authorities. She did, however, express concern that her son was involved in the shooting.

"You have the right person," she told ABC News, speaking on what was deemed gut instinct. "I need to call the police... I need to fly out to Colorado."

Holmes had not had any previous run-ins with the law, other than a "minor" traffic ticket in 2011, police spokesman Fania told Today.
Good for his mother!

I guess. Seems like if she had a gut instinct that he was involved that indicates she knew he was pretty fucked up to begin with.

Someone on a blog had posted an image that supposedly he uploaded a day ago that say "I'm going to kill everyone at the batman premire...." etc, it was words over a shot of a Nazi theater. I'm not sure if it's real. But if it is, that takes his psychosis to another level. And sad that it was ignored. Moreover, I agree with Vic... his mother knew he had issues, she let it go. Here we are. :|

Edit: here's the image. I don't buy it, but wouldn't be surprised.

Yea it is screwed up and the media is all over the gun control issue instead of concentrating on the real issue right now, the loss of life. A friend of mine said it best, "I would like to see a civil suit against the theater for having a policy of no firearms and thus endangering the public and wrongful death in a state that has laws designed specifically to prevent such tragedies. If liberals can do it to us, it would be a great response"
I totally agree with him and the one or those involved need some Capital Punishment!
