be aren't those "couple of extras" sport seats and sport suspension?

if they're gonna put anything in a package with the diesel, i'm happy it's something performancey rather than nav or the dsg...

vw sport suspension is a 1/2" lowering spring on stock struts, not very sporty. didnt hear about the sport seats but if they are like the sportwagen ones they are not bad. the only option that is now standard in the tdi that i would want is bluetooth.

mk4 tdi was only $2k more over the standard gasser, same with sportwagen. the cost justification is out the window when you figure a $2k difference is 80k mile payoff...so you would need to keep a tdi rabbit for 160k to balance out the increased price

The German press have already driven and reviewed the diesel GTD, and seem to like it. Of course our version will probably be somewhat different.

Jacques, you can probably get a good deal on a Saturn!

The R20 is coming early next year - or if diesel is your thing, they will have the new TDI Golf next month I was told too.

2010 is going to be a good year for bikes and cars. (now if only I hadn't just bought a Prerunner I'd have money to get something new) oh well...I'll just drive my GP some more!

I'm going to agree with some of the comments on MK6.com, it looks like a MK5.5 more than an MK6.
