Konky. That's another good one. Especially after H2O. Before then I'd only listened to parts of that album.

Uh.. yeah... TBE. I have no idea what you're talking about. I got indie and electronic.

I think the only album I bought all year that came out in 2009 was the new Rancid. So I'd say that was my favorite album for 2009.

Looking at what I added to iTunes this year, it looks like Silversun Pickups, The Raconteurs, and a Global Underground mix by James Lavelle are the high points.

I listen to so much music that it's just easier to post my list of only favourite albums that came out in 2009

Click the image to open in full size.

Absolutely one of the most amazing albums I've heard in a long time. A real pop triumph and a great throwback to great Motown style but modernized. No homo on this pick, but it was my hands down fave album of '09

Great driving record. Listened to it all the way up to h2o. Kinda garagey quality but really catchy stuff.

On the hip hop front it was a very weak year. Kid Cudi was ok, but didn't hold my attention for too long. Wale was a disappointment. Funny, because I went out of my way to get both those albums, in physical format mad early, from the distributor. P-Money I just stumbled across, and this mixtape(it's not even an album) is one of the most bat out of hell albums I've heard in a long time.

Just amazing beats, period. Great driving music. Great driving fast music.

Best party album(non Girl Talk) of the year possibly.

Classic pop album. Period. No homo

Non 2009 album, maybe album of the decade, Wiley-See Clear Now. I suggest everyone gives it a listen. It's got something for everyone. Great example of breaking genre boundaries.

Also really enjoyed Phoenix, the new DMB, I still need to listen to the new Matisyahu. I played the **** out of the new Guns & Roses. I really liked that album. I've been expanding my palette in 2009 to continue in 2010.

Because I just found out about them last year and listened the **** out of both of these albums.

The Protomen. Megaman inspired rock operas. What could go wrong with that?

Typcially I stay very streamlined, but for 2009 I decided to experiment with some other things besides rap/hip hop and rock. Some of my other favorites came from Snow Patrol's Final Straw.

I don't buy a lot of new music these days, but my favorite of '09 was It's Blitz! by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Saw em in concert too.

I didn't really get into very much new this year, but judging from my playlist these were at the top.

I wasn't even sure this would be decent, but I really enjoyed it.

No, I'm not old-school emo. I just love the Smiths. :o

Thought it was interesting that it was at the top of my playlist. Very random.
