I like the exterior, but they really really need to work on the interior. It looks like it was pulled directly from my 2000 Civic. They should look at Audi and Volvo and head that direction to make the look complete.

+1, but I would say nowadays it would need a 250 hp output and a 300 at the very least for the VR6

Definitely like the steering wheel... And the front bumper's pretty sick.

i like it (ugly wheels notwithstanding) i think it's a good evolution of the current gti/golf/rabbit

good thing this didn't come out the same time as the clubman, i might have had to choose.

by the way, i haven't done any research in awhile. is VW quality back to something reputable? last time i checked it was a pretty good idea to stay away from them.

I thought that VW quality was on the way up. I haven't heard much about the MK V though. My 1999.5 MK IV has lasted 238,000 miles so far.

I like it! The interior is nice and clean, and it will probably handle real tight through the turns. The MKV is a great vehicle, and they have definitely improved over the last couple generations.

The whole point of the MKVI is to cut costs and save money as per VWoA...the MKV was too expensive from a build standpoint, so they tried to simplify things with this build...personally I think it's too busy, more of what you'd expect from a concept design that eventually gets smoothed out prior to production.

I really like it. The new tails and headlights are a good change from the MKV

I look forward to seeing what people do once they get their hands on them. I hated the MKV until I saw what a few simple mods would do to them.

I don't like the grill at all. Looks like it is wearing lipstick.

Undecided. Needs more power. I do like the styling better than the mkV.

We'll see.

Just checked this new GTI out at the VW dealer here locally. It looks awesome in person - I really liked it.

The R20 is coming early next year - or if diesel is your thing, they will have the new TDI Golf next month I was told too.

2010 is going to be a good year for bikes and cars. (now if only I hadn't just bought a Prerunner I'd have money to get something new) oh well...I'll just drive my GP some more!

i love the new golf 6, not the gti as much but i am so annoyed at the pricing for the new 2dr tdi gold, 2.5 2dr golf is $17,900, 2dr tdi is $22,200...$4500 more for the engine is ridiculous. yes you get a couple extra options but $22k for a 2dr golf is a lot of money.
