Thanks guys!

Well, my car is FINALLY legal again.

I had a high flow CAT fitted today. The guys at the shop fixed my broken exhaust hanger too. There was no way I could get Borla to act on their "Million Mile" warranty...

*Edit: Car failed emissions due to check engine light. I got my new registration though, so all is well!

Megan Racing Coilovers (BC Racing), failed on me today.
One of the shocks in the rear came apart where the adjustment shaft meets the shock shaft.
Not happy.
I'll post some pics later, hopefully I can get some love from BC Racing...

They are BC Racing.
I thought that BC made the coilovers for Megan. They look identical.
Anywho, here are some pics of the damage.
Have yet to talk to the folks at BC about it.
I am betting that I am going to bet boned like I did by Borla...oy!

There are rumors that they're the same company, but I believe those have been proven wrong. Red should mean megans right?

When/how did they break? Almost looks like the side load issue that we were discussing in that other thread. TSW mentioned having seen one rear snap in that same spot.

They are red, but they are for sure BC Racing, big sticker on the side says so.

Its been broken for a WHILE. Just never got around to seeing what the banging sound in my rear suspension was until the other day. Glad I finally got around to checking it out.

It is definitely a side load issue. I could move the broken sharft around before I took it off the car. You can see how much it moved on the red cap.

It also looks like the top smaller piece was only attached to the bottom shock shaft by two little weld spots. I think if it were solid it might not have been an issue.

We'll see what BC Racing says...

Did your BC coilovers come with pillowball upper mounts in the rear? TSW was thinking that that might cure the side-load issue.

So I got some work done on the classic today.
Took the front body work off.
That should make things way easier for any kind of install I do.
Also opens up the door to do a flip front, saved the old piece as best I could.

Not sure if I want to do the SuperFastMinis kit or the Z-Cars kit...
They are around the same in price.
I can go FWD and eventaully go to an AWD setup if I go with the SuperFastMinis kit.
If I go with the Z-Cars kit, I get RWD...

Thoughts?

All wheel drive would be pretty cool with all that power. But if I had to choose between FWD and RWD I would go RWD.

If I ever got a classic, I'd run the Z-cars kit.

I just ordered all their DVDs.
Maybe I can rip it if people ask nicely.
I really want to see how easy it is to install, they make it look pretty simple.

The RWD Z-Cars kit comes in either as s Vtec or Bike engine kit.
The Vtec kits seems to have a better front subframe, and a better roll cage. Its only 100 more too.
The Z-Cars kit will make fitting a Honda B20 easier too, which I already have.
I hear you have to modify the hood of the car if you want to run a B20 in the Superfastminis kit.

I am really waiting for the exchange rate to be just right.

Oh, I am also trying to get a clubman fiberglass front clip.

Ah, Happy Birthday to me.
I think to celebrate being a 1/4 century old, I am going to order the Z-Cars kit.
F*ck the exchange rates. I'll be waiting forever for it to even out.
Thats right, RWD is what its gonna be.
I plan on ordering the kit next week.
That should put it on my doorstep when I get back from ski trip to Chile.
Not sure if I should start a new thread for that build.
In any case, stay tuned.
