Whoa!

Hey you were at LS fest right? Did you see my brothers record breaking run in his Zr1?

I heard about a few ZR1's killing records at LSfest so I may have heard about his. What did he run?

I think it was a 9.42 at 159? But he went even further a few weeks ago with a 9.12. He is heading to MIR this weekend to attempt a high 8 second run.

I just think its cool that he was able to do it as an individual and not a full shop car. GM High performance magazine did a full cover shoot of it after breaking the record. Keep it mind I am sure it is the record for stock bottom end stock blower Zr1. I am sure there are some turbos full built one doing much more.

Oh yeah totally understand, its really impressive with what you can do with the LSx platform. Junkyard 5.3L and 6.0L iron blocks with 100k miles on them making 800whp to over 1000whp without doing much other then a single turbo.

they buy a junkyard 5.3 and repeataedly push it to 1200 hp to try and break it, while taking it apart for inspection at the end the discover it was a 4.8.

This might come as a shock to some. But I no longer own Spike the Dark Silver R53. I have purchased another R53 and will post a new thread when I have something to update.

See sketch, nothing to worry about. Chase just had to wait 12 months for Aaron to build him a street car at a 50% discount and free labor ..
